NAILS: Metallic Silver

First things first: thank you if you've taken the time to fill out my survey about my blog. I've gotten a lot of responses from people all over the world of all ages. It was anonymous, so people have been very honest and I really appreciate that. I've gotten some great compliments but also constructive criticism that I am definitely going to use to improve my blog. I'm going to collect all the results and make some decisions on what to adjust or change about my blog. I'll let you know all about  that very soon:)

I've been sorting out stuff like clothes, shoes and accessoiries a lot lately and I've done the same for my nailpolishes. Using them for too long is never a good idea, I had to throw away about 15 bottles that were all dried up- such a waste. I'm going to expand my (now small) collection of nailpolishes very soon and add lots of new trendy summer colors like minty green, lime and purple. In the meanwhile I stumbled upon something I would usually never buy in a Dutch store called Action.. Silver metallic nailpolish! I always get random stuff like make up cleaning wipes etc over there, but since the products are very cheap and not from a specific brand I am always hesitant on whether it will be any good. I decided to give it a try, why not for that price! I tried the nailpolish on my false nails and the color/coverage was really nice when I just applied it. I didn't expect it but it still looks perfect as these pictures were taken after 5 days of wearing this nailpolish!
I love the metallic effect and the subtle sparkle in it. I think I'm gonna try more of these nailpolishes soon!

*I have to add, when you use nailpolish on false nails it usually lasts way longer than when you use that same nail polish on natural nails. This is because there are no oils in the false nails so the nail polish won't chip off as easily.

That's why I created a survey of 10 questions -anonymously- so I can start working on you guys' feedback/tips.

HAIR: Little Mix bright hairdo's

As announced yesterday, it's time for a post I've personally been looking forward to: the big Little Mix hair post! I've already made a post about my obsession with LM singer Jade Thirlwall's purple hair back in December. I tried that, but it didn't work out well for me. Just as I got over the -I-want-purple-hair- period, Little Mix showed up with even brighter colored hairdo's.. And guess what? I LOVE it! Makes me wanna change my hair again.. I've had it brown for 4 years and I want something totally different, something drastic...

The hairdyes from Schwarzkopf XXL are super bright, so bright that you don't necessarily have to lighten your hair to make the color visible. Perfect for when you have naturally darker hair like me. Bleaching your hair makes it even more dead than hair already is, so I try to avoid that...

Take a look at Little Mix's gorgeous hair colors! Would it be anything you'd like to try out, perhaps for the summer? I am soooo eager to try the bright red dip dye like Jesy!

----------------------------------------------------Dutch version----------------------------------------------------------

Jade Thirlwall went from bright purple to bright blue with Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Ultra Brights Electric Blue 95.

Jesy Nelson went for a bright red dip dye with Schwarzkopf Live Luminance Radiant Red L38

Perrie Edwards went from platinum blonde to light pink on top with a shocking pink dipdye. She used Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Ultra Brights Shocking Pink 93

Leigh-anne Pinnock didn't go for a drastic bright color. She went from dark brown to black with dark blue ends, using Schwarzkopf Live Color XXL Colour Intense 90 Cosmic Blue

NEW IN: Punky Creepers

*First of all: you guys voted in the poll from the previous post, that it would be better to blog in both English and Dutch. From now on I'll add a Dutch summary of the post below!

As you probably know, I own a pair of the most comfortable 12cm/5" heels ever. My leopard wedge creepers are my favorite shoes in the world, I fell in love with them after seeing them on Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall (who also owns the red velvet ones and I want need those too). My sister knew I wanted another pair of those incredibly comfy shoes, but I never ordered them because they were out of stock whenever I checked the webshop.

Surprise surprise, my sister got me the spike creepers for my 21st birthday!
I LOVE them! I think they're quite punky so personally, I would wear them with a leather jacket or leather leggings for a rock chic look, or like Jade, combine them with girly items.. That would probably be one of my cute bow ties:)
Speaking of Little Mix, I've got a hair post planned featuring some great hairdo's and tips and tricks:D Stay tuned!

----------------------------------------------------Dutch version----------------------------------------------------------

REVIEW: Etos Skin Smoothing Primer

It's no secret: the key to a radiant, flawless skin is using a primer. It's like painting a house, you use a paint primer to create a smooth surface so the paint stays on better. Using a primer makes your skin smoother and as a result: your foundation stays on for hours and wont smudge or stain after a while. This is the first face primer I've ever used (I used Gosh eye primer before) and I decided to make a review about it.

Etos Skin Smoothing Primer is a transparant primer that promises to make the skin look and feel smoother, it conceals blemishes and it can be used after your day cream, just to make your skin look smooth and radiant. But us girls will probably use it as it is meant to be used: as a base for your make up.

The product is packed in a pump bottle, which I think is better because that is the most hygienic way to keep bacteria out. Besides, one pump gives you the exact amount you need for your entire face.
I like to use this after my day cream, it only needs seconds to dry and so does my day cream ;) Then I apply my make up like I always do. Usually, I need to fix my make up within a few hours because I get a shiny forehead or nose, and sometimes it gets smudgy. Since I've been using the primer the foundation lasts ALL day and I hardly have to do anything anymore to keep my make up pretty.

Doing my make up is even more fun! I wanna go for dramatic smokey eyes, bold lips and perfect blusher every day now, not just for a party. I know my make up will last all day when I use the primer, it really does make a great difference.

Tip: if you're using a lipliner like me, also apply some primer on your lips. The lipliner will stay on perfectly!

PS. I've been thinking about writing in both English and Dutch. English as the main language, a short summary in Dutch below. Please let me know what you think about this in the poll below. :)

Should I blog in both English & Dutch? (Voortaan in Engels & Nederlands bloggen?)
